Fiona Beckett is an award-winning food and drink journalist, author and web publisher with over 25 years experience of writing for the UK’s top newspapers and magazines.

* started her career on the features desk of Today and has since spanned the world of tabloid and broadsheet journalism, writing weekly columns for The Times, Guardian and Daily Mail (the latter on wine) and regular features for the Telegraph and Sunday Times food pages.

* is currently wine columnist for The Guardiancontributing editor and main restaurant reviewer for the wine magazine Decanter (you can find her restaurant of the year here) and a regular contributor to National Geographic Food. Over the years she has written for many of the UK's leading food, drink and lifestyle magazines including BBC Good Food, Delicious and Newsweek.

* in 2014 she was voted Blogger of the Year by the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) and was shortlisted as Food & Wine Writer of the Year in the 2017 Louis Roederer awards. Recently she was ranked no. 8 in the UK's top 10 food and drink journalists by the UK Press Gazette. 


* is one of the UK's leading experts on food and drink pairing with her own award-winning website She also hosts regular wine and food events for both consumer and corporate audiences and offers food and wine matching consultancy services.

* has written 24 books on subjects as diverse as wine, cheese and student cooking (the Beyond Baked Beans series). Her most recent book is a book on cooking with wine called Wine Lover's Kitchen which was published by Ryland, Peters & Smal in 2017l. She has also published 3 innovative ebooks with designer Helen Miller of Miller Design: 101 Great Ways to Enjoy Sherry, 101 Great Ways to Enjoy Cheese & Wine and 101 Great ways to Enjoy Chocolate & Wine
